SMS_MMS Brand and Campaign Management

Why?

Due to new regulations by the Major Cell Phone Carriers, businesses are now required to register their SMS/MMS phone numbers.

How?

The process is simple and is done in three parts.

Step 1 Brand Registration - For this you will need your Tax ID

Step 2Campaign Creation

Step 3 Adding SMS numbers to a Campaign

 

Step 1:

 This is done at the Campaign Registry Page which is accessed in two ways

or from the apps drop down for office managers in the MyVotacall Portal by clicking SMS Campaign Mgmt from the apps drop down.

Once logged in for the first time you will click the Let's Get Started Iconregistration

And fill in the boxes including the Tax ID

Then Click the Agree to terms and conditions box and click create brand

Step 2:

The next step once the brand is approved is to create a campaign-   You will typically have one campaign assigned for up to 49  numbers.  Any more would need an additional campaign. In the photo below you can see Votacall's 4 campaigns- to add another you will click the plus symbol-  If no campaigns were created then you would see some red print to create a campaign next to the blue + symbol

Click the plus and choose campaign type.  The cost you see are monthly cost to you.  Most of our current clients are low volume and therefor use the Low volume mixed choice.  You can use this type and select at least one and up to 5 uses. campaign type

 

Then click next.-  This screen shows the limits for SMS with each carrier.  So AT&T will allow 75 TPM while T-mobile caps at 2k a day

Click next 

From here you need to fill in the following

Vertical- Choose from Drop Down

Campaign Description- give it a name (ie Client Contact)

Add at least one sample message

Choose campaign attributes.  You will notice the first 3 cannot be no(it is grayed out)

Once complete click Create campaign

You will need to wait about an hour for the campaign to be approved and then you can assign a number to it. 

Step 3:

Do this by clicking on the campaign in blue

Scroll down and assign or un-assign numbers as needed.
